SkyEurope suspends its operations

Dear Guests
Please be advised that SkyEurope has suspended its sales and operations immediately.
Those of you who have purchased flights with a credit card, please turn to your credit card issuing bank to seek refunds for unused portions of SkyEurope's flights.
In case you have paid directly to SkyEurope in other means than credit card (e.g. bank transfer, cash), please be advised that a refund may not be possible.
If you have ordered your flight tickets via a travel agency or organizer, you should discuss the matter with them first.
If you are already at the destination or have rented a car through SkyEurope's business partner, you may stay at the hotel and use the vehicle during the period originally agreed. You must, however, order a return flight from some other airline at your own expense.
You may also wish to contact your insurance provider to seek further guidance and support.

Wizz Air, the largest low fare – low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced today that it would provide re-routing alternatives to passengers affected by the suspension of SkyEurope’s operations at Prague airport as communicated to the public earlier today. This comes only 16 days after SkyEurope was stopped from flying from Vienna airport.
John Stephenson, Executive Vice- President of Wizz Air said: ‘This was certainly to be expected. The event underlines the critical importance of strong cost control and strong liquidity position, especially in times of financial crisis. Wizz Air has the track record of rescuing passengers left stranded by failing carriers and here we are again to restore customer trust in low cost air travel.’
A special rescue package of EUR 30 all inclusive one way fare is offered to passengers who hold a valid SkyEurope booking for travel between 1 September 2009 and 26 March 2010. To benefit from the special offer passengers should go to wizzair.com or call the Wizz Air call centers. Seats are subject to availability and the rebooking should be made by 15 September. Further conditions are available on wizzair.com or by calling the call centers.

• Passengers will be requested to present a printed copy of their SkyEurope as well as their Wizz Air itinerary upon check-in.
• Additional charges apply for optional services such as checked baggage, excess baggage weight, pre-boarding etc
Wizz Air carried over 7 million passengers in the last 12 months. The airline's fleet currently consists of 26 Airbus A320 aircraft operating from 11 bases in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Czech Republic.

Κριμα παντως..!

Αιωνία της η μνήμη... όλοι εμείς πάντως που πετάξαμε μαζί της , χαρήκαμε με τις super προσφορές της , γνωρίσαμε την Κεντρική Ευρώπη και θαυμάσαμε τις αεροσυνοδούς της την ευχαριστούμε... η ειρωνία... η τελευταία πτήση που προσγειώθηκε στην Βρατισλάβα χθες βράδυ ήταν αυτή της Αθήνας!!

Τώρα τι θα γίνει με αυτούς που έμειναν αμανάτι στη Σλοβακία μην με ρωτάτε... υποθέτω οτι ο Τριανταφυλλόπουλος και ο Εισαγγελάτος θα τα ρίξουν όλα στην κυβέρνηση, την αντιπολίτευση, το αεροδρόμιο, τον καιρό... η αλήθεια είναι απλή και την είχα γράψει πολλές φορές... η εταιρία είχα πει, αργά ή γρήγορα θα κλείσει, αλλά μεγάλα παιδιά είμαστε, όποιος παίρνει την απόφαση να πετάξει για 50? μαζί της αναλαμβάνει και το ρίσκο...
